On weekly links
You may have seen yesterday’s Weekly Links and wondered why I’ve bothered writing yet another link-based newsletter… well… I’ve not (kinda).
I’ve been writing this sort of newsletter of links for my teams at DuckDuckGo for the past half a year or so. It’s just a roundup of the things I found most interesting across my various newsletters, RSS feeds and from things friends have shared. It’s not overly opinionated but skews towards design engineering with a few random bits on the side.
The format is designed for easing sharing in Mattermost (a self-hosted alternative to Slack) and in Asana (the source of truth).
So why share it here too? Well… I don’t write blog posts all that frequently but other great people do. And also, a friend is leaving the design team to go and pursue an awesome and fun opportunity to build some product ideas for himself and make a go of it as an indie builder. Why does that matter? Well he said he’d miss my internal newsletter, so I figured I’d just post it up on here too so he can still get the weekly dose.
I may split it out into a separate feed if people don’t like this coming in alongside the blog posts. But otherwise, I figure it’s better to have just one place to subscribe. They’ll come out on Wednesdays.
Enjoy!
